Chancellor Robert Holub is the face of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Like any other Chancellor, he attends meetings, travels frequently, and connects with the on-campus community. What distinguishes Holub from other Chancellors is his life without the title. Father of three little girls, Madelaine, Shoshanah, and Natalie, Robert’s stress isn’t left at the office. “I wouldn’t have it any other way, I can’t imagine life without these girls,” Holub states about his daughters. Although halfway through his last year as Chancellor at UMass, Robert Holub is constantly keeping what is best for UMass in mind, and he will be missed.

Even Chancellor Holub makes time in his busy schedule to work out at the Totman Gym some weekday mornings at 6:30AM.

Chancellor Holub teaches a class on Friedrich Nietzsche’s Beyond Good and Evil  every Tuesday from 4:00-4:50PM.

Chancellor Holub never goes anywhere without one of his many Fedoras.

Checking his email before a 2:30 meeting.

Chatting with his secretary on his daily schedule.

Holub always keeps pictures of the girls on his desk.

Chancellor Holub entertains guests for lunch at his Hillside home on Monday, November 28.

Erika Poole, a senior at UMass, cracks the whip on this year’s Halloween Costume. Shown here as “Indiana Jane”, this is Erika’s first year actually going out for Halloween at UMass. “Since I have gone home every other year, I want to make this one count”, Erika says while posing for the shoot. Complete with a whip, hat, and attitude, Erika is ready to take on the weekend ahead.
